In 2018, with your support, we collected enough food and money donations for over 34,000 meals!!

This overwhelming success was due to the great participation of the Stapleton community, sponsors and volunteers.

The 9th Annual Stapleton Community Food Drive will be held from Dates to be determined and we invite you to partner with us again.

Three easy ways to help:

1) Look for the white Collection Bag, delivered to your home by Saturday, September 28th (Stapleton residents), generously fill it with non-perishable items, place the bag on your front porch by Saturday, October 5th, 9:00 am. Volunteers will pick-up your donation.

2) Make a cash donation directly to Food Bank of The Rockies.
96¢ of every $1 you give goes toward food. or give to the school pantry of your choice

3) Bring your donations to one of the following businesses and schools listed here:

NPRE TeamEmpowered by Compass presents the 9th Annual Stapleton Community Food Drive, benefitting Food Bank of the Rockies and neighborhood school pantries.

The Stapleton Food Drive is an opportunity to help those in our community, both in the Stapleton neighborhood and the Denver metro area who suffer from poor nutrition and hunger.

In the fall of 2011, the NPRE agents were looking for a way to volunteer as a team and give back to our community. Our motto is “Get Comfortable” and as the holidays were approaching, we decided to give comfort in the form of food.

Over the past eight years, the Stapleton Food Drive has continued to grow.  We started with a handful of collection barrels and local business partners and collected about 1000 pounds of food for the Food Bank of the Rockies.  With the addition of the door-to-door donation bag delivery and pick-up service, local schools’ participation, business sponsors, and an overwhelming number of volunteers, the charity became stronger.

In 2013, when we asked for volunteers to help us pick-up the donation bags, we were humbled by the show of volunteers who came to help on collection day. The volunteers were all ages, including athletic teams, honor society members, neighbors, parents and grandparents. We worked with parents who were teaching the younger generation how volunteering can make a community more successful.  The kids were rewarded for their efforts by watching the piles of food donations get loaded in the Food Bank of the Rockies donation truck.  The students who participated at the local schools also witnessed their classmates filling the shelves of the panties, ready to help fellow students. Collectively, the children learned that their efforts helped other families who may have fallen on hard times and need a little help.

In 2015, the event officially became a federally recognized non-profit organization.  We collected donations to provide over 30,000 meals to those people suffering from hunger and poor nutrition.

This year, donations will be accepted September 28 through October 7, 2019.
